DAWN IN VENICE
Wednesday, January 26, 2011
/ August morning at 5 o'clock. / No, not today .... I'll have time tomorrow / to stay longer / the pleasant world of the unconscious. / Now YOU want to wait / with his elbows on the sill / a window in an old house.
Thinking of the famous poem of the Renaissance, dedicated to the lagoon city, I subtitled this lyric peace "Ode to Venice"!
...
/ A fresh gust caress me / then goes to creep among the leaves of the trees / I can almost touch that stick. / A crow launches her call / answer a comrade in the distance. / To the right a repeated bellow / maybe a good morning to a friendly presence. / Engine tractor, sweat and effort. / Noises but not sounds / and I breathe the silence and stillness. / Suddenly starts here / pink at first only the wounded / on virgin canvas / and slowly, live, the work is done. / Author of Painting. / Charmed I find myself whispering /-L 'I saw, I saw the sunrise and opened the shutters of a house in Venice A reflection ... tail of the "touching" of poetry Valentina ...
Oh, yes, even in the verses Valentina is a special time to celebrate ... Venice. But here, Parma Apennines, although a bit of "sadness and melancholy" leaked, "silence and stillness" dominate the scene. Sadness, because the poet interprets the moment of dawn in a realistic way, even when (a few years ago) ... and you could hear the roar of the tractor. Now this small town and 'uninhabited. And celebrate the rising of the sun and the return of life ... we hope will be a good omen for the uncertain future of the tiny village, we can see in the snapshot taken half a century ago. The final opera, the climax of emotion, coincides with an exclamation of astonishment in front of an everyday event, but always different, always fascinating, then ... if we are in Venice ... Thank you, Valentina!
